This policy sets the standard framework for APEX ASIA HOLIDAYS’ long-term approach and involvement in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs addressing the needs of local communities, people, and businesses.

Our main goal of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is to develop and establish sustainable tourism with positive change and take responsibility for the well-being of the wider society.

RESPONSIBLE TOURISM

Responsible tourism is significantly important because it becomes the responsibility of each individual in the tourism industry. Our dependency is on the existing environment we talk about business or livelihood. It has always been our policy to organize outdoor packages that leave less carbon footprint as possible.

All we (the entire members of Apex) are aware of making responsible tourism in each trip. We do have a brief meeting with our clients on the importance of conservations in the environment. We promote the programs and participate and also initiate clean-up campaigns to promote awareness. Apex always seeks that how we can operate more responsible trips. Here are the responsible tourism guidelines.

GUIDE AND PORTER POLICY

Guide and porter are vertebrates of Nepal tourism none of the trips would be possible without guide and porter. Apex is always concerned about the rights and responsibilities of the guide and porter. We have heard many stories of the mountain porters, who left on the freezing tents and clients are inside the guesthouse. But Apex always treats them fairly. We know that porter is also a human being, a living being. In this way, we have a guide and porter policy.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

We insured all our trekking staffs with coverage for medical and emergency evacuation services.

WEIGHT LIMIT

Apex has defined the weight limit of 20kg per porter for trekking.

HEALTH AND WEL-BIENG

Our expert guide always inspects the condition of porter and treats them very well. Each day our leader asks the porter to follow up and supply the needs (medication, rest, and food).

AWARENESS

We give a short class to our porter about the environmental policies.

ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

Our ecotourism exercise is continuing to improve the way of traveling in minimizing the impact on the environment.

Key Policies
  • We do have led bulbs in the office that can save energy.
  • We do not print and waste papers, email in the office. Instead of printing media, we are running E-brochures and newsletters.
  • For camping treks, we use gases instead of firewood.
  • We always make clean campsite as we found before we camp.
  • We always request our clients use re-usable packing containers and water bottles while packing the gear.
  • Our team are aware of polluting the water sources.

Health and Saftey

Your safety is our top priority. Our trained and experienced team is always concerned with providing fresh and hygienic food, keeping First Aid, 24/7 communication services, and more. Before commencing the trek or tour, we always make sure whether the clients have good enough equipment, clothes or not.
